Coachella -- 2009

Coachella

I spent last week-end at coachella festival (yes, I know I'm already late on my posts) but I still want to share my personal opinion about it.

  • The location: the scenery is extraordinary, especially at sunset time.
  • The crowd: cool crowd, may be a little bit too many girls trying to make it to people magazine but that's what happen when you are too close to L.A.
  • The atmosphere: crazy healthy. (I can't find a better term than that).
  • The Line up :
    • M.I.A.: Ridiculous. Sad. Bad.
    • Killers: Overly produced, but ok.
    • TV on the radio: Surprisingly funky.
    • Surkin: Brought it in the middle of the afternoon!
    • Amanda Plamer: Interesting but overacted (too me).
Seriously thinking about Coachella next year, in the mean time got to get my tickets for outside lands.

You got to love Paris

Paris-kiss

I spent quite some time in Paris during my vacation. I loved it. I had really good times with old friends, going out, hanging out.

I also paid more attention to the fluo kids. 2 years ago, they were barely sizable because of the huge set of sheep dancing, talking and walking Tecktonik.
Now, the fluo kids are the majority but they probably will become coolcats soon.

What a metamorphose!

I'm still not sure why i love Paris. Every time i go there i find a new stupid reason. Last year was because of the tall Haussmannian buildings, this year was because of the overly crowded terrace.

Who said the original song is always better?

Artem

I have heard people saying that the original song is always better. I'm strongly disagreeing with that. Music is like information.

The more you let it flow freely, the best creation you will have as an outcome.

I listen to remixes better than the originals everyday.

Check this out :

1/ Jamie Cullum, interpreting Pharell williams' frontin' ( I still believe Williams is one of the best producer alive)
2/ The awesome Mr Flash remix of Paranoid of Kanye West to download.
